Medical Marijuana Law
IN THE EVERGREEN STATE

We are living during exciting times. As the law becomes more humane, and more patients grow their medicine in peace, protected rather than harassed by police, we are grateful for the opportunity to watch our collective dream become reality.

As you may know, in 2011 WA legislators have passed a new amendment to medical marijuana bill. Senate Bill 5073 changed some practices in medical marijuana community, bringing new requirements for healthcare practitioners, designated providers and patients, but also granting new rights and liberties, legalizing collective gardens. Know your law. Use it to protect your rights.

A 'NEW' BILL!!!

Following up on the legislative disaster of 2011, Washington State Senator Jeanne Kohl-Welles intends to file another comprehensive medical cannabis bill to provide fixes and clarity to the current law. The newly revised version is a fair, desirable improvement to the existing statute.

Initiative 502 from New Approach Washington "BETRAYS Medical Marijuana!" Patients, DEFEAT I-502! Vote NO!!!

There is yet another new bill out in circulation, possibly soon to be up for our vote, Initiative 502. It threatens to cancel the recent legal amendments, brought on by ESSB 5073, and drastically turn the medical marijuana law against those it purports to protect.

Patients, say NO to I-502. The worst thing for patients in decades! - NW Leaf, December 2011
I-502 destroys the rights of patients under the guise of state regulation. Together, we cannot support it. I-502 makes criminals of medical marijuana patients, takes away our right to drive and guts protections we already hold today. It's backed by a group called New Approach Washington, which joined forces with the ACLU and a group of yet unidentified investors, who have donated more than $1 million. - Read on -
